Bound together with a Scarlet Thread

This October we were privileged to take a staff trip St Columba’s Church, Omagh for their Scarlet Thread exhibition. For ten days this month, the church building was taken over by a festival of creativity, as local crafters captured the essence of each book of the Bible with artistic efforts in a range of textiles. Each piece was linked together with a single piece of red woven yarn - the Scarlet Thread - to symbolise the grand narrative of God’s revelation in the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. 

We were delighted and honoured to be asked to contribute to this landmark project, offering a bespoke piece of jewellery from the Wearable Truth range. ‘For Such A Time As This’ was created with the book of Esther in mind, carrying a message that reminds the wearer of the divine plan and purpose for their lives. 

Creative expression of the core ideas of the Christian faith has always been foundational in Wearable Truth, and it was amazing to see imagination take flight in the pieces on display at St Columba’s.
